Two Suns Journey

This journey led to the Two Suns Vision.

Two Suns was formed after the gift of my second son being born. I was asked to return to work after 10 weeks of maternity leave. I wanted nothing more than to be able to spend more time with my newborn and when that request was denied I found myself unable to determine the best next steps for my future and family. I did not want to leave my profession and at the time I was working as a senior leader in a national nonprofit. I was a first generation college graduate who had just completed my masters degree a year and a half before- while working full time- and with a four year old. I had put myself through school and worked so hard for all the opportunities in my life. Even more importantly I had a deep love, passion and dedication for my work. I was also frankly exhausted from straining myself mentally and physically. I found myself continuing to strive for unreasonable expectations as a mother in the workforce where I felt that not much was left to offer my family after a day's work. I was drained, unmotivated and unsure about how to best piece this next phase of my life together.

Stepping into a place of bravery and courage there was a belief that I could create our own balanced life, start and own a business, and work towards the flexibility and freedom I desired as a mother. All this while not having to completely leave the workforce or the career I desired. The Two Suns vision was born as a desire to align passion, experience, education, gifts and talents- in service to others and meaningful organizations- while fulfilling a dedication to my family and children. I knew that in creating this Two Suns vision I could work hard, provide meaningful support to positive change and still be home in time for a homemade dinner and a bedtime story.

This vision and self belief has transpired into what Two Suns has grown into today. It started with the first definitions of success and a few small clients. As that work started to grow the contagious passion and values spread into bringing on my partner in all things life, Jared, to start enhancing and supporting the work. These opportunities lead to him being able to complement my skills, create a more rounded service opportunity, and provide the desired results of family/work life balance we were both working towards. We both work in a beautiful balance of being able to do good work that we deeply care about, while allowing ourselves to be fully present whether that is at home or work, and achieving this because we are in harmony with the life we aim to lead and the values we hold.

Two Suns Vision

Two Suns is a strengths based approach in which we combine our skills in an enhanced service to others, while offering the opportunity for flexibility. We have grown to having a team that can support this approach on the backend while allowing Jared and myself to serve as project leads and ensure client satisfaction with full delivery of the outcomes clients have come to trust us to support them with. When you select to work with Two Suns you keep this vision alive, provide support to parents in the workforce, and will be met with gratitude, passion and dedication no matter how small or large the project.

At Two Suns we provide highly organized, well communicated, and dedicated services in a passionate and enthusiastic way for the mission at hand. This is all delivered with a deep understanding that the underlying work is in service to future generations including that of our two sons. We guarantee the highest quality of work we are able to deliver because we understand what it means to our clients, the community that is served, and the benefit this work has for all involved. We are dedicated members of society, who seek balance and harmony in our lives, all while becoming a trusted partner in your work and organization to enhance and accelerate your mission for positive change.

Our Logo

The Two Suns logo is circular for two reasons:

The first is family and community. It is the Two Suns' goal to continue to focus on the inner circle (family) of our lives while serving others (community) in the outer circles of our lives. We believe when these circles are in balance, we have more to offer in service to others.

The second is a visual representation of the sun – a star. This reminds ourselves of the star children we are serving at home and the future generations who will  benefit from this work.
